Dave & Julie's Party

Last weekend, Jessica, Tony, Jeremy and I threw a party for Jeremy's parents to celebrate their 30th wedding anniversary and 50th birthday's.  The party was a huge success!  Jess & Tony did a great job planning everything and were gracious enough to host at their house.  Thanks to everyone who attended and helped with the party!

Invitation I created (without the address or phone numbers for privacy).

Sawyer playing away at the party.

Easton hanging out!

Cake!

Jeremy and I put 30 facts together having to do with Dave & Julie's lives and things that occurred during either the year they were born or got married.

Happy Birthday/Anniversary Dave & Julie!

Another one of my creations.

SCFF

August in Owatonna means fair time!  The fair is a pretty big deal and since Sawyer was born and will be raised here, we had to introduce her to the fair :)  Jeremy enjoys the fair and I can tell he's going to love taking Sawyer and any other kids we have there every year!

Jeremy went a couple of nights without us to watch bull riding and he worked at a malt/shake stand for softball.  He and his co-workers headed to the fair for lunch a couple of times and being that the fairgrounds is within walking distance from my work, I headed over there for lunch on Friday as well.  Needless to say, we had lots of good fair food!  I finally tried the famous Cindy Nachos and they were delicious.  So good that I had to get them again when we went there on Saturday :)  I also had a pumpkin pie from the Minneapple Pie stand.  Sawyer loves pumpkin so it was perfect to share with her!

I didn't take many pictures, but here are a couple from while we were at the petting zoo.

Idle Wilde

Big time catch up is going to be done tonight as I'm a month behind!  Yikes...I was on the fence of whether or not I was going to keep going with the blog but for now, I'm going to keep it going!  It's such a great way to keep track of what we've done and things Sawyer is up to so now I just need to do a better job of updating it more often.

The weekend of August 10-11th we headed up to Drummond, WI to my mom and Eric's cabin, The Idle Wilde.  It's more of a roughin' it cabin than my in-laws.  No running water, which means using an out house and to shower, they have a shower house where we use water warmed up on the stove and a ladle to run the water over yourself.  Being out in the woods totally makes up for the lack of running water and really, we didn't even notice!

MN traffic this time of year on I35 is horrendous.  We should have taken some back roads and cut into WI much sooner than we did because it took close to 2 hours longer than I expected it to.  Next time Jeremy gets to map out the route!  To add to our long trip, a few hours in a realized we had forgotten the pack n play...so a pit stop at a Wal-Mart was necessary to purchase another one.  From now on, it's going to be the first thing in the van!

Once we got there we went out for a fish fry, it's a must when in WI on a Friday night!  Saturday the guys went out fishing in the morning while mom, Sawyer and I relaxed for a little while and then hit up a farmer's market before meeting them at the lake to go pontooning/fishing.  We headed back to the cabin for dinner and made another trip out to the lake from some night boating/fishing.  They guys were slaying crappies and Jeremy caught a nice Northern!  Unfortunately we didn't get it in the boat but I did snap a picture of it in the water before we lost it.

On Sunday we relaxed before heading home.  On the way we made a pit stop in Hayward for some ice cream :)

Relaxing weekend at home

This past weekend we had no plans and it was fabulous! Saturday we went to the farmer's market, had breakfast at a coffee shop in town, I enjoyed some snuggle time taking a nap with Sawyer, we went to the pool and grilled out for dinner. Sunday I felt like miss homemaker. I made cake pops as a test run for Sawyer's birthday party, cleaned, did laundry, made egg salad and cut up lots of fruit and veggies for the week! All while yummy bbq ribs were cooking in the crock pot. It's so nice having a weekend like that! We are on the go 3 of the next 4 weekends so it was good timing.

Sawyer - 10 Months!

Another month has gone by and our not so little Sawyer is now 10 months old!

You are a jabber jaw.  Just about everyday daycare tells us how "talkative" you are.  We can't wait for her to be able to talk, she has lots to say!

Climbing away in the chair.  So much for sitting still for a picture!

Once again, talking away while trying to pull/eat your sticker.

She knows when she's being silly and she laughs now.  Way too cute.

At 10 months you are:
-In 12 month clothes.
-In size 3 diapers and size 4 at night - we had a couple of leaks!
-Weigh 20 lbs 2 oz.
-Pulling yourself up on things and you're getting good at it!
-Stands well while holding onto things and tries to let go but can only stand for a couple of seconds before falling over.
-You have 8 teeth.  Yes, we went from 3 teeth to 8 teeth in one month.
-Sleep?  See above.  We went from 3 teeth to 8 teeth, enough said.
-Loves finger foods.  Latest favorite is strawberries but she also loves cheese!
-Loves her sippy cup.  She gets just giddy when she sees me filling it up for her at dinner time.
-Still loves pee-a-boo.
-Quite the talker.  I wouldn't say she says any words yet but you def here da-da and ma-ma within all the babbles!
-Starting to point more and starts to grunt a little or jabber when she points at something specific.
-Crawls!  You started army crawling this month and you love crawling after Maple.  Her world will never be the same now that you can get to her whenever you like!
-Planks. Its the way she gets back up on her hands and knees.  We keep waiting for her to bear crawl on her hands and feet!
-You're now a tummy sleeper!  Sometimes you sleep on your side but most mornings when you wake up you're on your tummy.
-Loves her walker.  She books it in that thing!
-Waves, sometimes. Typically its after the person leaves.
-Clicks her tounge on the roof of her mouth and will immitate it if you do it.
-Thinks its the funniest thing when daddy blows her kisses. She giggles like crazy!
-Likes to turn the pages herself when being read to. Usually one right after another without even giving you time to read whats on the page!

Sawyer your personality comes out more and more each month.  We love watching you grow into such a sweet little girl.  How did we get so lucky!?

A few recent pictures

She's finally decided she likes to be on her tummy and she's on the move!

Loves playing with her zany zoo.

Teeth, teeth and more teeth.

8 of them, they just keep coming!

I could take pictures of this little girl all day long.  Although she would much rather me play with her :)

So cute.

Cute outfit - thanks Rose!

Playing in her crib.

And yes, she's a chewer!

Hardcore teeth brushing going on here.
