Sawyer successfully rolled over 3 times tonight and I finally caught it on video the third time :)

Rolled over!

It was practically overnight that Sawyer started completely lifting her head during tummy time and only a couple days later she rolled from her stomach to her back! I even had a witness because we happened to be skyping with Grandma B! We were showing her how good Sawyer is getting at tummy time and all of a sudden she was rolling over! Grandma B saw the whole thing but I only caught it from her side to her back and daddy couldn't get back in the room fast enough. She has yet to do it again but she is trying so hard! She keeps getting stuck on her side like the picture below :) Our little girl is growing and learning new things all the time! She has such a sweet and giggly personality, we just love her!

Sneak peak of Sawyer's 3 month pictures

On Saturday we got Sawyer's 3 month pictures taken in Waseca by the talented Makayla Rae! She posted these two pictures right away that day but we have to wait a couple weeks to get the rest back. I can't wait to see them!

happy new years!

All bundled up before daycare.

3 months old!

Sawyer laughing at daddy

I caught the tale end of Jeremy getting Sawyer to laugh.  So cute!

Sawyer - 3 months!

How is this little girl already 3 months old!?  It's amazing to see how much she's changed over the past 3 months.  She is so much fun and has such a personality!  She is quite the smiley girl :)

At 3 months...
-Sawyer started sleeping through the night a couple weeks before she turned 3 months old.  The first night she slept through was Dec 21st and she slept from about 8:40 until 5:20.  Thank you Sawyer!  Some nights she will sleep until 6 and others she will get up around 5.  Either way, I'll take it!
-she's moved up to size 2 diapers!
-she's moved into 3-6 month clothing and we started putting her in 6 months clothing just after 3 months.
-she still likes to cuddle and I spoil her by letting her sleep on my chest once and a while :)  I'll take all the cuddling I can get!
-she's gotten into more of a consistent routine - she eats at practically the same time every day and I think daycare has really helped with this!
-she loves being in the bath but afterwards is another story!  We heat the bathroom up for her but she is still so cold when she gets out!  I got a tip online to warm up her towel in the dryer and this has helped but the poor little thing gets cold so fast.  Hopefully this gets better once it's no longer winter!
-she isn't really a fan of her car seat.  I'm sure our being in the car for 15+ hours over Christmas didn't help that.  She cries almost every time I put her in it :(  I'm not sure if it's the car seat or the fact that she hates wearing a hat...either way, she throws a little fit until we pick up the car seat and get in the car.
-she smiles all the time now!  She's also starting to laugh and actually laughs when we talk to her and make noises - it's so cute!
-we're working on tummy time but she doesn't care for it much anymore.  After a couple of minutes she's done being on her stomach, she's done and wants to be up so she can see everything.
-she is obsessed with lights and fans.  I seriously think she would lay on her changing pad and watch the fan in her room forever!

Sawyer, you are such a sweet little girl and we are so lucky that you are ours!  You bring so many smiles to our faces and we love watching you grow.

Sawyer's first crafts

We have such an awesome daycare provider!  We got our first card from Sawyer for Christmas :)  Although I know she didn't actually make the cards this time around, I can't wait to see the projects and crafts she does as she gets older!

Christmas in Merrill

Our last stop for the week was at my dad's in Merrill.  We got there Friday afternoon and got to see Alyssa, Bryson and Carson right away!  They came over to my dad's that afternoon and the kids exchanged gifts.

Sawyer is concentrating really hard on her toy from Carson :)

Saturday night we went over to my uncle's house for the Yorde family Christmas.  It was fun seeing everyone and it was the first time most of the family had seen Sawyer in person!

One of my favorite pictures of Carson and Sawyer from the night!

Smiley girl!

Dad got Sawyer some packer gear and being that the Packers and Vikings played that day, we figured she could test out one of the bibs.  Unfortunately for the Packers, they lost that day.  I should have had Sawyer wear the bib the second time around, maybe they would have lost again...probably not though!  Sawyer also got to meet her Uncle Ryan for the first time at my dad's house :)

We had a fun week visiting family and all in all, Sawyer did really good!  As nice as it was seeing all our families this year, we've decided next year we're going to stay home on Christmas so we can start our own traditions with Sawyer and she can wake up in her own home on Christmas.  It's going to be so fun watching her open her own presents next year!

Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas!

Christmas in Cambridge

On Christmas Day after spending time with Jeremy's family in Birchwood, we headed down to my mom and Eric's in Cambridge.  Sawyer did pretty good considering we were in the car for approximately 5 hours that day!  Mom had fondue waiting for us when we got there and it was an awesome Christmas Day dinner :)  Fondue is so yummy!

The next morning we had cinnamon rolls and opened stockings and presents!

Sawyer looks pretty excited about opening her stocking :)

Family picture, with Maple this time!

Opening presents from Santa, Mom & Dad, Grandma B, Grandpa Eric and Uncle Matthew

Santa got Sawyer her own Elf on the Shelf.  Can't wait to see if she tries to name her next year :)

We relaxed most of the time when we were there, which was nice!  We played some board games, took naps and just spent time together.

Caught Grandma B and Sawyer napping :)

Christmas in EC

We started our week long holiday travels in Eau Claire with Jeremy's family.  We headed over to Jeremy's parents house on Sunday the 23rd and got there nice and early as early morning travel is the easiest with Sawyer.

During the day we just hung out and watched football but that night we went out to dinner at a pizza place in town and opened presents with the family.

Easton and Sawyer are ready for the lake!  Such a perfect gift for these two :)

On Christmas Eve Jeremy's cousin Derek came over and met Sawyer for the first time and later that night we had Christmas with the Carey side of the family.

Love this picture!

Derek meeting Sawyer for the first time.  She woke up from her nap and gave him a big smile :)

On Christmas Day we headed up to Birchwood for Christmas with the Madson side of the family.  Jeremy's cousin Mike and his wife Molly came home from New Mexico with their little guy Theodore (Teddy) who was born about a month after Sawyer.

Great Grandma Madson with Sawyer, Teddy and Easton.

It was great seeing everyone and so fun being able to meet Teddy while Mike and Molly were in town!

Back to Work

I went back to work on December 19th and it was very bittersweet!  I loved spending my days with Sawyer but at the same time I was ready for some adult interaction again.

Sawyer was a happy girl the morning of my first day back at work :)

Thank you to my mom and wonderful friends/co-workers for the flowers :)  They made my day!

Daily report from daycare on the first day.

It was nice only having to work 3 days and then having the next week and a half off for the holidays.  I couldn't have asked for a better way to go back to work.
