Sawyer's 4 Month Stats

Well, more like 4 1/2 month stats as our doctor was out for two weeks.

Weight: 14 lbs 13 ounces (61.6%)
Height: 25 inches (60.6%)
Head: 16.25 inches (47.3%)

She cried a little more this time than the last time with the shots but all it took was nursing her and she calmed right down. We enjoyed some extra snuggle time when we got home too :)

Chewing on her taggy before her appointment.

A full tummy makes those shots all better!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Sawyer is so crafty, she made us this beautiful card at daycare ;) I'm a little slow and didn't realize the two hearts made a fish, good thing it's almost the weekend!

Our sweet little girl on Valentine's day :)

These are the Valentine's I made for the kids at Sawyer's daycare.  The two one year olds got Yogis (organic yogurt bites), all the other kids got fruit snacks and her daycare provider got some dove chocolates :) I love how they turned out but I've now set myself up to having to be crafty every year!  Hopefully Sawyer likes crafts and we can make them together in future years :)

It's a special day for us because one year ago today we found out we were going to be parents to our wonderful baby girl! I had suspected it for days and had numerous faint pink lines but the digital "pregnant" confirmed it for us that day :) What a wonderful memory!

Sawyer 4 months

A week later is better than not at all right?  Well Sawyer turned 4 months old on the 2nd and she has been changing so much right before our eyes!

What's Sawyer up to at 4 months?
-she is pretty consistently sleeping through the night from around 8:45 until 6:15ish.  (However since turning 4 months old she is going through a little regression due to a virus and some teething).
-still in size 2 diapers and 6 month clothes.  Her weight gain has slowed down a little over the past couple of weeks.
-she rolled over once while being 3 months old on January 18th.
-she's starting to grasp things and everything goes in her mouth!
-she loves blowing bubbles and making noises with her lips.
-she is fascinated with her hands.
-she is a very smiley and giggly little girl.  It doesn't take much to make this one smile or laugh.
-she still loves actual bath time but getting out is another story.  Warm bathroom and warm towels and sometimes she still screams.  She must really love bath time!
-we are working on breaking her swaddle.  She's been sleeping well with one arm out at night and no arms swaddled for naps.  This next weekend we'll work on both arms out at night.
-she likes daycare.  She loves watching the other kids and recently really loves watching Maple!  She really concentrates on things when she's watching them and studies them.  She's just a little sponge :)
-we've taken the infant insert out of her car seat and she's doing better with it now.  Still not a huge fan but she doesn't cry as much when she gets put in it anymore.
-she constantly wants to sit up and will try to pull herself up if we don't sit her up fast enough!  She loves to stand too, she's got some strong legs!

The past four months have been great and we love our little girl!  Can't wait to see how much she changes and grows over the next month!

Progression of the roll

I'm a little behind on updating the blog, so these pictures were taken on January 29th.  First time we were able to capture Sawyer rolling (video was posted previously) and I caught the progression of one of her rolls on camera :)  Her first roll over was on January 19th though.

Sawyer has her arm in position and is ready to go!

Such hard work to roll over!

Ta da!

Proud daddy :)

Sawyer's Baptism

On January 27th was Sawyer's baptism.  Unfortunately the weather was really crappy and a number of people weren't able to make the drive over, but we are so grateful for our family that braved the storm!

Sawyer was so tired after her long day that she took a nice nap with Grandpa Dale.  Maple was a little jealous so she had to join them :)

Because of the bad weather, my mom, Eric and Matthew decided to spend the night.  Sawyer enjoyed the extra time she got to spend with them :)

A big thank you to both of our families for your help with Sawyer's baptism and for spending her special day with us.  We love you all!

Easton's baptism

On January 20th we drove over to Eau Claire for the day for Easton's baptism.  He looked so cute in his little outfit :)
