Sawyer - 14 months!

I've been keeping a running list of what Sawyer's been up to each month but I'm behind on posting the info!  So, here is was Sawyer was up to at 14 months!

• She's officially walking! She took off at about 13 1/2 months and hasn't looked back.
• Carries as many toys as she can possibly hold onto at one time.
• Says "uh-oh" perfectly and knows when to say it. 
• Will show you her belly button and yours when you ask her! 
• Growls/roars like a lion.
• Gives high fives.
• Gives open mouth kisses.
• Occasionally waves and blows kisses but totally on her terms.
• Is attached to her monkey and will go find it if you ask her where it is.
• Has a favorite blanket she sleeps with and tries to carry around. 
• Good eater! Loves avocado, blueberries, pasta, yogurt and the list goes on.
• Getting better at eating with a spoon/fork but needs mommy or daddy's help getting the food into the silverware.
• Size 4 diapers.
• Same clothes as last month, 12-18 and 18 with the occasional 12 month pants.
• Has small feet! She still fits into 6-9 month shoes.
• Sleeping is about the same, either sleeps through or gets up once. Usually she gets up once but is good for a couple nights a week through the night. 
• Has ten teeth! Upper molars broke through this month and thankfully they haven't given her nearly as hard of a time as the others did. Bottom molars are there just waiting for them to break. 

She is turning into such a little girl and not so much our little baby anymore.  Time can slow down anytime now!

Baby Kruggel's Shower

This past week my friend Whitney and I co-hosted a baby shower for our good friend Megan.  We went with a rubber ducky theme and we had so much fun planning it!

We can't wait for Baby Kruggel to arrive.  Sawyer and I are ready for play dates while the husbands are hunting :)

Sawyer - 13 months!

I'm so belated on posting this but, as usual, I'm going to play some catch up.  And I posted out of order and can't figure out how to change it.  Oh well.  Here was Sawyer at 13 months.

At 13 month Sawyer is...

-Taking more steps than last month so it's only a matter of time!
-Wearing size 4 diapers.
-Wearing 12-18, some 18 month clothes and even some 12 month pants.  She has short legs and a long torso!
-Had her first ear infection. It was no fun for anyone.
-She has started to sleep through the night a couple tines a week but other nights still gets up once.
-Still going strong with nursing.  She likes her mama's milk.
-Weighs 21 lbs 15 oz.
-Says "uh-oh" and talks a lot!
-Sitting at 8 teeth but upper molars are working their way down.
-Likes to feed herself with a spoon but resorts back to fingers after a few bites.
-Had her first time away from mommy and did great with Gramma B! 

Sensory play for Sawyer

Being home the two of us while daddy is hunting, I wanted to find a few things for her to do outside of playing with toys.  I've come across numerous blogs with great ideas so we tried a few out this weekend.

I also made a couple other items - one is simply an empty jar with water, dish soap and food coloring and the other is a gallon zip lock bag full of shampoo, buttons and googly eyes.  Both are great distractions when I need to get something done!

I have a few other ideas tucked away for the next time we're home.  I can't wait!

I had made myself a couple of infinity scarves a while ago and saved the extra fabric to make a couple for Sawyer.  I finally got around to it this weekend and she looked adorable!

Swim Lessons

We signed Sawyer up for her first set of swim lessons and they started a couple months ago.  My mom came along with us while she was still in Owatonna after watching Sawyer.

Halloween!

I had great intentions of making Sawyer's costume and had everything I needed expect for one item which came a couple of days after Halloween :(  Thankfully it's something I can make her for next year so for this year, we borrowed a lady bug outfit from a friend of mine (thanks Danielle).

We didn't do a lot of trick-or-treating but we did go to a couple of our friends houses and both Sawyer and Maple enjoyed themselves.

She was not impressed with the pumpkin carving.  She actually disliked the feel of it very much!  For a girl who has no problem getting food everywhere, I was surprised.
