Playing catch up!

So since it's been a while since I've posted so I feel like I have to play catch up on my blog!!

Last weekend we went over to Wausau/Merrill and visited my dad and got to see Jessica's first apartment!! It was a fun weekend, we got to see Jess's new place, visit my dad before he left for Ohio and Maple got to meet Jessica's cute kitties!

Monday was my birthday so I baked some treats and brought them into work...yes, at my work we bring treats in on our birthday, and then Jeremy and I went out to dinner at Famous Dave's!

Thursday a couple of professors from Stout came to visit Federated and myself & two other Stout grads did a panel with them and got to go out to lunch with them. It was a fun day and great to see one of my favorite professors again!!

This week Maple figured out how to get out of her kennel. Wednesday she go out when Jeremy and I went to Volleyball and Jeremy thought that he forgot to lock the kennel door so neither of us looked that the latch. So come Thursday morning, she had actually gotten the latch open and broke it! I couldn't figure out how to fix it, so I tried to tie it shut, but she got it open anyway! When I came home for lunch to let her out, well she was already out! She hadn't chewed or gotten into anything at that point, so when I left to go back to work I just left her out the rest of the afternoon. Thursday night Jeremy fixed the latch so we put her in it like normal on Friday and she got out again!! This time instead of being a good puppy, I had a stack of thank-you cards, birthday cards and fathers day cards and she shredded them all!!! I was so upset with her...I should have taken a picture to show everyone her damage...

This weekend we were really busy, but it was a fun weekend! Friday night after work we went to my company picnic at the Owatonna County club with some of my friends from work. My work basically closes down everything in Owatonna for the day for the company picnic...you can golf at any of the golf courses, mini golf, swim at the country club, go boating, fishing, get a manicure, go to the bowling alley, go to the movie theater and the list goes on! Last year I went golfing for the first time ever and it was really fun! But this year, I opted to work for the afternoon and bank a half day to use another time. Which works out great since we're going to Country Fest this week, so I'll be using it then! We still went to the dinner, which was fun so nothing was hurt! I'll find something fun to do for the picnic next year since I worked this year!

Saturday afternoon Jennie came down to visit and see our house and little Maple! We grilled out, which was really good, and then we did a little shopping! It was great to see you Jennie, thanks for visiting our home :) After Jennie left, we went to my friend Adam's house for his housewarming party and Maple had a blast. Adam has a big fenced in backyard and she ran around like crazy with their dog Rhythm. Their neighbors also had a black lab and Maple ran up and down the fence line with the lab forever! She is still tired!! After Adam's we went over to my friend Katie's house for a bonfire and got to see her new house as well!!

Today we were running errands most of the day. We got up and were out of the house shortly after 10! We stopped at a couple places in Owatonna and then headed to Rochester. We went to the mall, had lunch at Buffalo Wild Wings, we were both going through withdrawal since we don't have one in Owatonna, and then we ended our trip at Sams club. We've got almost everything ready for Country Fest now, except I still need to make the jello shots...I believe those will be on my to-do list for tomorrow!!

Now that I've caught up on everything, I need to make some new thank-you cards and birthday cards since Maple destroyed my previously made ones!!!
