Wildwood Wildlife Park

Last weekend we headed over to Merrill for the weekend to visit Alyssa, Bryson and Carson.  The highlight of our trip was our visit to Wildwood Wildlife Park, or as I knew it growing up, Jim Peck's.

Sawyer just loves animals so she had a great time!  I can't wait to take the kids back next year :)  We've decided this will be an annual trip and I'm sure it will get better every year as the kids get older.

A big ole pig greeted us when we got into the park.

Next were a bunch of goats.

Smiley girl was already having fun!

The dad's showing Carson and Sawyer the goats.

She is pretty giggly when she gets to pet dogs and it was no different with the goats!

More goats!

She loved petting the giant rabbit.

These guys walked across the way to get food brought up to them.

Showing Sawyer the baby bunnies.

Getting ready to feed the bears some bear juice!

Feeding the bear.  I have a picture somewhere of me doing this as a little girl, I'm going to have to find it!

Jeremy's turn.

There were tons of deer walking around - they were so friendly!

Checking out the albino deer.

Love these two!

Feeding the animals some critter crackers.

Peacocks!  There were tons of them.

Sleeping kangaroos.

She wanted to pet the deer through the fence - he looks like the mount on the wall in our basement (which she loves to point at and giggles when be take her over by it).

This panther must not have liked Jeremy.  Prior to this picture Jeremy was showing Sawyer the panther and he sprayed pee all the way from his cage onto Jeremy's shorts/leg.

Friendly deer coming to check out the kiddos.

Getting ready to feed the deer.

Jeremy with an albino deer.

Carson feeding the deer some critter crackers.  The deer was up in his grill though!

She did so great at the zoo but was definitely tuckered out by the end.  She couldn't quite make it to the car.

Here is a picture of the kids playing later that day.  They played so well together and they are more and more fun to watch play each time we get together :)

We had such a fun trip, thanks for having us Alyssa, Bryson and Carson!

Grandma B's July visit!

As usual, couple weeks behind on the blog.  My mom came to visit the weekend of the 20th and so did her good friend Jane and her son, Matthew, who is also my brother's friend.

Being that it's summer and fair season has started, what better to do then head to a fair?  So we headed over to the Waseca County fair.

Sawyer having fun at the petting zoo - she just loves animals!

First cheese curd!  No...she didn't really bite off of it, we just gave her some pieces of the cheese.  She loved it!

Matthew, Mom, myself and Sawyer at the fair.

Sawyer's first ride.

Jeremy will be doing the next ride, I get too dizzy on rides like this!

We played BINGO and I won!

So excited to be eating squash!

Playing with Matthew and Libby.

We had a great weekend!

9 month apt

I almost forgot to post Sawyer's stats from her 9 month apt last Tuesday. Either the nurse that did her measurements last time was off or she isn't growing...considering she has outgrown the length in her pants, I'm guessing the measurements were wrong last time.  I thought it was kind of odd she would be in the 92nd percentile for height when we are both short.  These figures make more sense :-)

Weight: 19 lbs 8 oz (61st percentile)
Height:  27.6 inches (48th percentile)
Head:  43.82 cm (43rd percentile)

Weekend at home

This weekend we enjoyed a nice weekend around the house getting stuff done and playing with Sawyer!  Jeremy finished fixing the basement floor from the water that leaked in this past spring, he continued painting our windows and he put up the baby gate.  Very productive weekend!

We went from three to five teeth this past week.  Hoping number six (her other top one) comes quickly and painlessly.  Teething is no fun for her or us.  15 more to go, right?

Why eat the crackers when you can just chew on the box.

She doesn't need to be laying down to chew on her toes, she'll just bend in half to reach them!

Sawyer loves her puppy.  Maple has no idea what she's in for once Sawyer becomes mobile!

Dressed up awfully cute for a trip to the grocery store.

We spent the afternoon outside in the pool enjoying the nice summer day.

Playing playing playing in her pool.

Loving the water.

Jabbering away.

Love those lashes.

Selfie with Sawyer.

Drying off in her swing after swimming.

Trying spaghetti for the first time.  I think she liked it!

Ended our weekend with bath time.

Love weekends like this with our little family!

First bike ride

My mom's neighbors/friends were kind enough to pass down their bike trailer for Sawyer!  The weather hasn't been great on the weekends or we've been gone but we were finally able to go our for our first ride.  Where did we go?  The Blast of course.  Who doesn't love getting ice cream?  We tried out a trail we'd never gone on for the ride home and it was fun!  Sawyer got a little dirty as it was a dirt trail but she didn't seem to mind :)

All set for her first ride!

All tuckered out at the end of our ride.

A little photo shoot after our ride.  You smile with your whole face.

Playing with the grass.  We have to watch you or you'll put it right in your mouth!

Blowing spit bubbles.

Such a goofy face you make when you get excited.

Enjoying playing outside.

4th of July

We spent the 4th of July up at the cabin and we had a great time.  We headed up Thursday morning, spent the afternoon with Jeremy's parents, Easton and Grandma Carey out on the pontoon and playing with the kids.

First pontoon ride with Daddy.

Our little firecracker!

Pointing at dirt.  Very intently.

Smiley Sawyer.

Sawyer and Easton playing with the jet ski keys.

Hey, this is my toy!

Beautiful day on the lake.

Love our family :)

Sawyer and I had matching 4th of July toes.

Sawyer and I enjoyed a daily walk, we went for numerous boat rides and did some swimming at the sand bar.  It was horribly windy on Friday when we went to the sand bar so we didn't spend as much time as we would have liked to in the water.  Sawyer loves the water so she didn't mind but we weren't able to use her floaty we got her because the waves would have flipped her right out of it!

Getting in the water - a little chilly but she didn't mind.

Swimming with Daddy.

Sharing some banana with mom for breakfast.

Caught a little wave :)

I could take pictures of this sweet face all day.

Having fun on the last boat ride of the weekend.

Sawyer - 9 Months

As usual, I'm a little behind on the blog and little miss Sawyer turned 9 months old on the 2nd.  Sawyer, you are such a fun loving, drooly, smiley, giggly little girl and we are so lucky to call you ours.  You are quite a happy baby and we love watching you grow and discover so many new things everyday.

We just love your smile.

Although you aren't crawling yet, you are starting to climb.  Mostly on us since you can't get around to other items.

You have three teeth now.

You sure have grown over the past 9 months!

At 9 months you are:
-In 12 month clothes.
-In size 3 diapers.
-Weigh 19 lbs
-Pulling yourself up on things.  Specially your zanny zoo and us.  Maple doesn't appreciate you trying to pull up on her, you just pull her hair!
-Have 3 teeth and working hard on more.
-Sleep is not your strong suit.  No more swaddle.  No more magic sleep suit.  You like sleeping on your side but you like getting us up a couple of times a night.  I love the nights you only get up once.
-Doing much better on solids since starting them at daycare.  Pumpkin seems to be fav still and loves finger foods.
-Favorite game is peek-a-boo.
-Very talkative and we love it!  She doesn't say any words in particular, just babbles.  Baby babble is so adorable.
-Waves and she does it with her whole arm.  She hasn't figured out just the hand yet but it's cute either way.
-Points.  Not at anything in particular yet, just points at everything.
-Loves the water.  Bath, her pool, the lake - she loves it.

Our little girl is becoming less of a baby and more of a toddler everyday.  Hard to believe only three months until she is one!
