Like the majority of our weekends and holidays, we were traveling over Thanksgiving break. Let's just say over the course of Wednesday through Sunday of the weekend, we drove somewhere between 18 and 20 hours.
Wednesday night we headed to Madison in a wonderful snow storm and didn't get in until about 11:30 at night. We then proceeded to get up fairly early on Thanksgiving day to head down to my aunt & uncle's house in Chicago. We had a really nice Thanksgiving and were able to see some of my relatives from out of town! Our whole family was there minus Ryan, 2 of my cousins came in from GA and FL with their girlfriends, my aunt & uncle & cousins from Edina came down and of course the hosts - Gary, Kerry, Jes & Katie!
Now it wouldn't be an Ausman Family Thanksgiving or any gathering for that matter without a food fight! The food fight this year was a little mild compared to previous years but I must say I enjoyed seeing my uncle Dick smash a handfull of potatoes in my mom's face :)

Friday we hung out in the morning before heading down to Michigan Avenue to do a little shopping...and really, we did a little. It was so packed and the stores were so crowded that we didn't do much shopping at all but being that it was Jeremy's first time really in Chicago (not just driving through) we figured we better do something! Friday night we headed back to Cambridge to Mom & Eric's house.
Saturday we went to a wine tour at Wollersheim Winery in Prairie du Sac. Jeremy and I stocked up on some good wine and cheese! The rest of the afternoon we did some shopping in Madison and ended at Gander Mountain (of course).

We drove home Saturday night because we had the Vikings/Bears game to go to on Sunday! The Vikings won which seems to be the ongoing trend this year so it was a pretty good game and a long weekend!
